GOAL Partners Network — in the year 2004, a group of young, energetic and long-experienced people in shipping, sea & air freight forwarding and logistics met each other in Singapore. They agreed on an idea to jointly establish a group networking with a common identity, so that small and medium-sized freight forwarding and logistics providers could stay close and co-operate with each other for better positioning in the market versus global international brands.
Mr. Wichien Rungpanya, Mr. Gary Yeo, Mr. Sugumaran and Mr. Leonard Lim were the founders of GOAL Partners Logistics Network, which was officially formed and established in 2005, when the first ever official meeting of the group was held in Bangkok, Thailand in September 2005. The first GOAL Partners meeting comprised members from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Korea, China and the United States.
From that day, the GOAL Partner network has gradually grown and flourished with the help of consecutive annual networking conferences, where members come together to meet and increase their business — with members in almost 30 countries as of today. The group has had gatherings and meetings in Shanghai and Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, among many others. The whole group is genuine and cooperative, constantly searching for mutual benefit for team members.

We have attended all the GOAL meetings since the first one in Bangkok in 2005, and the benefits we have gained are enormous. This group of trusted friends is not that big, but at every meeting we see new faces representing different levels — directors, sales and operations. The one-to-one meetings help us define business in a more detailed and precise manner, and the get-together dinners strengthen our relationships.
